:jumpy: The next Adopt-A-Highway cleanup is tenatively scheduled for Saturday, Dec 18th.  Gather at 1:00 PM at CedarLight Center.  Vollunteers so far are:  Jack, Desmodean, Jennifer, Caryn and Deirdre will make homemade spinnach tomato soup at the grove for when we return.

With 4 people last time it took about 1.5 hours.  If you have not filled out a waiver, you need to fill one out before we go.

The next cleanup will probably be after the winter.

The phone contact is:
Baltimore County    Golden Ring  410-574-4511

You give them the address of the bags, the number of people and how long it took you.

Bags reports, mission accomplished.

:D Yes we did and with the 4 of us (2 working each side of the street) it only took an hour and a half.  The neighborhood is already a pretty clean neighborhood.  The hardest part was continuosly stooping to pick up cigarette butts so I think an investment in some small brooms and a long handled dust pan is in my future if I do this again and I'm sure I will.

I have done a lot of road side cleanups and this was a piece of cake in comparison to some.  It was definitely a great time to be had by all.

Sati, do you have the number to the folks I need to call to give the location og the bags?

And BTW, I was giving thumbs up in that picture....not picking my nose which is what it looks like.. why me!?

Don't forget to take a piece of paper with you. any items that can't be picked up (per the safety guidleines) should be noted. also note each place a bag of trash is left. use the nearest address and building/landmark.

on monday, someone will need to call the SHA to give them this info.

Seems like arguing with each other got in the way. Shouldn't Druids be more concerned with Nature (our environment) than our personal agendas? Lets try to get over this "past" by looking up at the Sky or down at the Earth, into the Water and breathing the Air. See if you can do anything constructive to preserve what little we have left. Take a hint from our furred and feathered brothers, who "kill for survival", and not to destroy another's spirit!
Sooooo, when are we getting around to keeping our committment to the Highway???
