All food will be set up in the parsonage.

Hot food in the kitchen and cold food in the front room.

The De-Icer that Chelsea brought by was used on the porch and walkways after the ice storm (didn't work very well) except for a small amount that is left.  I will apply the rest of it to the back porch this morning and see if it does any good.

I am bringing a large wooden bowl for pouring things into to be taken outside later.

I counted exactly 30 physical chairs, not counting floor cushions that can be used.  I did not get the table in the grove space down but it will have to be taken down.  I am thinking an isle straight down the middle instead of all chairs to one side like last time.

I did get a small table up beside the refridgerator in the parsonage.  That can be used for plates and bowls.  The wooden table in the parsonage kitchen can be used for main courses and the table in the front room of the parsonage can be used for cold dishes and desserts.  I brought up a baby gate that can be fit across the top of the basement stairs to keep people and kids out of the basement.  Folks can file through in one direction and "hopefully" avoid the jam up that we normally have in the grove space.   We can also have both sinks going for washing dishes.

-Shoot if this works, we may stick to it. <shrug>

The back porch will have to have the ice chipped off of it, in order to have access to Dun Elphame.

Chelsea, I think all the enviro stuff already got used this past week.  I was going to put it on the back porch and didn't see it.

I have to get the rest of my stuff together and ready.

I'll take note to start nice fire in Dun Elphame right after the indoor ritual ends.  I have a cast-iron cauldron and a dark red candle I can bring for an indoor representation for fire, and then we can light the outdoor fire with one of my Brighid's fire tapers from last year.

Will offerings for the be placed into the cauldron and then burned outside afterwards?

Well, I did drop off 2 containers of the environmentally friendly de-icer which can safely used in the Sanctuary, however the temp will only be at freezing tomorrow.

Inside is probably the way to go.   :)

What time should ritual folks get there to help with setup?  I was thinking 2:30-3PM however, if there is a lot to do inside, maybe 2PM?

Caryn just called me, she's at the Grove now and has already fallen on the ice once.

How is Caryn?  hopefully she did not hurt herself badly.

Caryn just called me, she's at the Grove now and has already fallen on the ice once.  She says it's a skating rink out there, so unless by some freak of nature there is a severe turn-around in the sanctuary, we'll be doing the High Rite indoors.

Some things I'd like to note about doing the Rite indoors:

1. Cellphones off during ritual.

2. Sit so that there are paths to the altar space that people can walk through to make their offerings/do their parts in ritual.

3. People with parts in ritual should sit near the front so they are not always climbing over people to get to the altar.

4. Be considerate and reserve chairs for people who may have a hard time getting up and down from the ground.

5. Large burnable offerings will not be able to be burned unless we start a fire in the fire pit in Dun Elphame, which I'm hoping we will do.
