OK, I did the Jan donations today, tallied it all up and took it to the bank.

The Grand Total for the Imbolc Charity was $391.00.  We not only made our goal but surpassed it.

HUSSAH CedarLight!!!!!

Awesome, so we got more than $300 :D

Still, it was your effort that had them give us the check :D

I'd also like to note that this was -entirely- CLG and CLG visitors.  There were absolutely no outside donations from any other groups.  So huzzah to us for stepping up to the plate!

Actually...$50 of that came from my employer. I just delivered the check.

Thank you everyone for an amazing Imbolc ritual, despite being indoors :)  I believe our auction and donations have met our goal of $300 by my last count (I will let Caryn confirm), so the Grove will also match that $300.  That means we'll have $600 raised for the Lakota charity project!  Congrats!

Heya Kat,

Which stores did you send these to (I actually know very little about pagan-ish stores in Baltimore).  I want to call them up and see if they have any events going on in the next week or two that they can "mention" our charity drive during :D

Thanks Crystal!  I love havinig the "covert to PDF" option in Word and Powerpoint.  My hubby's computer lets me make pretty things.   ;)

Renee, that's amazing!  I'm glad they took what you did seriously - that rocks!

My company does employee donation matching, and while I knew about this before, I thought it was for strictly monetary donations or for goods in kind *with a receipt*. When another email came around about it just before Yule, I asked if there was any way to equate the scarves that I made and donated to the gift-giving that we did- didn't think they would, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.. I didn't get an answer until last week, and at that point I figured it was too late since it had already been done, but I jut recieved in my mailbox, a check for $50 to the grove.

Since the intended charity project has been completed, I think that this donation should go to the Wounded Knee Visitor's Center.

I'm intending to show my face at the grove this weekend, will bring it then. If for some reason I don't make it, I'll make sure that it gets to the grove by Imbolc.

Here's a flyer we can use, in PDF format.  If you want any changes, let me know, and I can fix it today.  Gryff said he make some copies tonight, and I will get some to PNO tomorrow.

Sorry this took longer than I expected - my computer and Gryff's don't talk to each other well, because mine is a dinosaur . . .the original I made got messed up and I had to do the whole thing over!

CedarLight Grove is collecting donations from now until it's Imbolc High Rite as a collective donation to the Lakota Wounded Knee Visitor's Center on Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota which was created by the Fire Lightning Tiospaye.  CedarLight Grove will be matching the raised donation up to $300.  These funds will help the Visitor's Center with much needed repairs as listed on their website at http://woundedkneevisitorcenter.com/.

If you are interested in making a donation, you can send a check to CedarLight Grove at 5918 Edna Avenue, Apt A, Baltimore, MD 21214, or through paypal by sending to clg@cedarlightgrove.org (please note in comments that your donation is for the Wounded Knee Visitor's Center).  A direct paypal link is also on our website at http://www.cedarlightgrove.org.

Please include your name and/or organization that you represent if you'd like it to be included in the gift donation to Fire Lightning Tiospaye.

Please distribute this information anywhere that you can and reference this post:
