I used to help with a place called Elizabeth House in Laurel. They serve meals every day in the evening. Different churches and faith communities pick a day or two that they will be responsible for. They don't have to supply the food. They just prepare it. Bag lunches are also prepared for the following day's lunch. It is a good program.

I thought this was a wonderful project. Thank you Chelsea for organizing it. You know we could do this more than once a year. Eight time a year might be a bit much, but it would be nice to adopt a family a few times a year.

Do did they like it???
Desaun (10 year old)
Handmade Scarf
shoes
Winter coat and ravens hat
Ravens backpack
football
basketball
nerf indoor basketball set
Large Koosh Ball
glow-in-the-dark puzzle
Stocking with assorted goodies (fruit roll ups, activity/coloring book w/ crayons, stuffed snack, etc.)
I have some canned soups if you want them my mother felt the need when I asked for canned soup to buy me A LOT. I've got some cream of chicken n some Healthy choice. I can bring a can or 2. If you want some home canning I've got a quart of black bean soup (it's good just kind of tired of it, and no one else eats it here so the quart is 2 much).
Please post if you are planning on bringing a canned item for the food basket or a gift for the family. I will be taking the items to them on Sunday after WWTOO.
I know that Renee will be bringing scarves.
This way if there are gaps that need to be filled, I can try to fill them this evening or tomorrow morning.
Thanks.
