:) Greetings all and thank you to everyone who sent prayers/ energy / good intentions for Will after the stroke,  :)

After 4 days in the hospital, cat scans, MRI's, ultra-sounds, x-rays, a 'filter" being inserted into a major vein and a whole lot of stress...They released Will at about 5:30 PM today and he is now back home.
With an armload of perscriptions, me as his shadow for a least a few days, a requirement to go to physical therapy and at least 3 weeks off from work...at least he is home and all the happier to be here.

Please keep us in your prayers for a little while as once you have had one, its all the easier to have another.  However we will be working on de-stressing and taking better care of ourselves.  We both consider this to be a warning shot and we are not taking it lightly.

Thanks Again
Caryn

much love hugs and healing. I can't come see him the risk of getting him sicker or me sicker is too great. I still have a wound on my side and the whole staph thing so for now my love and healing has to be long distance.

Caryn, take care of you girl, yer no good to Will if you fall out on us. If We can do anything please call Den he doesn't work and can help you in any way you need. Me....again with the quarantine like Chrissy, sorry.

Monday,
Well they did some tests and found another blood clot in his leg so today they put what they called a 'filter' in the main vein coming up to the heart so that if it dislodges, it can't cause any damage.  They are putting him back on blood thinners, blood pressure and anti depressants so we shall see where this all takes us.  Tomorrow they will evaluate him to see whether he goes to a rehab facility or if he can come home.  Right now he is sleeping a lot.

Thanks to all for the messages of support, there have been so many that it's hard to reply to each one individually but I am reading all of them.

His phone number is 410-863-5286 at the hospital.

I went down and visited earlier today and took the bowl of charged crystals down for Caryn and Will to have.  Will was sleepy but in good spirits, and I got to talk to Caryn for a bit.

Will had an ultrasound before I got there and while I was there Caryn and Will found out he had a blood clot in his left leg and needed to have a filter placed to keep it from moving around.  They still hadn't done that when I left this afternoon, so send your prayers!

Way Cool Pic Ashley!

Well Will is doing better but they still want to keep him another day, run some tests to make sure he doesn't have any blood clots in his legs before they put him back on blood thinners and blood pressure meds.

The Phy. Ther. ran him through all the tests except walking because his blood pressure was still elevated like 165/101 so we will do that tomorrow.  They also did an ultrasound of his heart.  I am hoping that he can come home tomorrow but we'll just have to see.  -Sigh-

So, during the Midsummer rite and throughout the periods of preparation, I was able to take a few photos.

I made this triptych of Tailtiue's Garden for Will, in hopes of a speedy recovery and a reminder that even in dark places, light can be found.

I am attaching an 8x10 filesize so that it may be downloaded and saved and printed by anyone who would like to for whatever reason.

I have a megahuge banner version too; if desired, e-mail the Me.

Will--
Get better get better get better. :)

My heart is with you guys!  I hope he's receiving good care and that he'll progress and regain functioning as he can!

Well it was definitely a stroke.  He can still talk but his left arm and leg are numb and hard to use.  I'm sure there will be a period of rehab needed.  I don't know when he will be back to work ...but then I don't think there is any need for that immediately.

Deirdre, CB and Tracy, Kessa and Duncan all stopped by this evening for a little while.

Thanks for all the prayers

Caryn, let us know when you and Will are up to having people about and we'll coordinate for you so we don't run y'all over while things are getting back together.

Good wishes, lots of love and loads of Reiki!

I'd totally go visit and advocate, but I'm quarantined in my own apartment with swine flu.
