For this Journey workshop, Jess and I would very much like to come because I didn't know about the first one.  She comes in on the Marc train from DC.  We wouldn't be able to get to the Grove till about 7:30 if we have good traffic.  Is it still ok to come after 7pm or as I'm thinking, will the guided meditation have already started?   Is there anyway to push the time  back to 8pm?

Thank you for the guided meditation last evening.  It was very...interesting!  My experience was something I definitely did not expect, and in a way was enlightening.

I don't know if I have the courage to do it again too soon without the magical equivalent of life-vest, floaties, innertube, swimcap, earplugs, noseclip, goggles, and wetsuit....

...but it was something that at some point I will have to explore.

Again, thank you, and I hope to see more of you all in the future!

I'm really sorry I couldn't make it! There was absolutely no one available to take my shift and I was so sad I missed it! I love the idea of doing it before every high rite though! I think its a great way to prepare and garner some insight, and I know I personally have been having some problems meditating by myself lately. Count me in for the next one!

This was a common Friday night before high rite with Mugwort.  We would have a guided meditation to meet the deities of the rite.  :)

Pre-highrite to get people in the mood sounds like a good idea. I'm sorry I couldn't make it after all, friends I hadn't seen in two months were back in town. I think I'll be at the high rite on Saturday, though. I've got a great recipe for soup I can bring to the potluck...

The journey was a great success.  We had 6 folks show up and all those who talked about their experience seemed to think it was worthwhile.  Some folks even though we should start doing this before every highrite.

Zuki, yes you are welcome to attend.   :)

The event was posted on the main website page and is open to anyone.  This particular workshop is to prepare folks for the ritual tomorrow.

Caryn, I'm not going to be able to make this and I'm sorry.

Ashley came home early from school with a massive migraine.  She can't even handle a lit room right now and I want to keep tabs on her in case she gets worse.  Hopefully we won't be in the ER tonight.

I'll be fine for tomorrow though, and I'll try to journey on my own here tonight.  Gods with you all.

Is this for members only? I've been curious about the Grove and ADF for some time, but I haven't attended any events, workshops, or rites yet.

Would I be able to attend?

Is this considered a workshop? Does it cost?

Pretty much like any other event, we ask for a $5 donation and figure those who can will give more.

Guided Journey to meet your Teachers
CedarLight Center
Friday, 18 Sep 09  gather at 7:30 PM

We will start with some basic grounding, centering, exercise along with the concept of anchoring.  There will also be some explanations of basic protections and why we do it.

From there we will be led on a guided journey to meet our teachers.  These could be guides, gods, ancestors, or animal spirits.  They could be ones we have met before or new ones.  The prayer for Staurday's High Rite is reconnecting with our teachers.  Who has been waiting for your full attention?  Who has been trying to talk to you?  Perhaps the journey can answer that question.

We will not be eating before the workshop but feel free to bring some finger food for afterwards to help with regrounding if you like.  We should be finished up and leaving between 9:30 and 10:00
