The news last night showed the school windows with snowflakes on them!

Bad news. My husband's boss called him in to work tomorrow morning. I will definitely miss WWTOO and although, there's a slight possibility that I can make it later in the afternoon, it will probably be too late for snowflakes, so please don't count on my scissors or construction paper if you still want to make one. Sorry for the late notice - he just found out tonight.

Reminder bump. I'll bring some scissors (like 3 pairs or so) and construction paper, but we want to do this fast so that we can be a'journeyin, a'divinin, and a'plannin for Imbolc, so please bring scissors and anything else you may need so that we don't have to be a'waitin for scissors to be passed around. ;)

The links basically show that one snowflake will take about 3 minutes, so as long as everyone brings their own scissors it should be super fast. I have much construction paper to offer.

I am planning a journey, but not a huge one. Snowflakes don't take a crazy amount of brain power; I'm sure we can fit them into what we're doing. Like when we are talking about the journey we can be making snowflakes. :)

Here are some sites with directions for those of us that are rusty. Maybe if we each make 3 snowflakes at home and bring them to the Grove then we can mail them all together to that address.

We need paper, scissors, and if we want to decorate, glue and glitter.

This could easily be done during Imbolc planning unless Ashley wants to do a divination or journey...then it would be a little problematic.

The recent tragedy at the Sandy Hook School in Newtown, CT has affected us all. But none quite as much as the children who survived it.  One of the efforts being made by the school and the Newtown PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) is to bring the students back after the break to a new location. They are now calling for the community, and the world, to make snowflakes to cover the inside of the new school. They want to make it a "winter wonderland" for them. The show of world-wide love and support will do so much for these children and the community.

ADF wants to show our love and support coupled with unity. We are asking each grove and solitary to take time to make a snowflake and send them to our collection point. Deb Field is collecting the snowflakes and will be sending them to the Newtown PTSA on behalf of ADF. They need to arrive at her address before January 7th. So we dont have much time to get in gear and get these made and sent. But I am confident in our ADF family to rise to the occasion.

Please send snowflakes (Before January 7th) to:

Deb Field
27 Chaplin St.
Chaplin, CT 06235

May our love and that of the Kindreds bring healing and peace to all who have been harmed. And like the Sun on its return, may the Kindreds shine new, warming light within our hearts and upon the world.

Bright healing blessings,
Rev. Kirk Thomas
