Huzzah to Caryn for ferrying all the extra crap into the basement and for helping us clean off the Nature Spirits Altar.

Woo hoo Spring Cleaning has offically begun!

LOL!!! Well lets see,  Will worked on the trim for the windows.
And I scraped, primed, and painted the kitchen sink cabinet in Apt C
-and primed and/or painted 2 of the door jams in APt C
-and finished painting the back of the door in Apt C
-And put up wood, primed, painted and installed 8 more coat hooks in both the middle closet and the mud room
-and swept the basement
-and caulked one of the windows
-and painted the back of the middle closet door

and, and, and  oh and cleaned up afterwards

Huzzah to the 11pm clean-up crew.  Anna and Dennis who helped clean up outside and in general.  Renee for taking out the recycle clans, and especially Danielle for doing 11pm forgotten dishes.

I wanted to add thanks to Keg for vaccuuming and being kind enough to stop everytime my lame arse ran past putting stuff away.

The place looked 100% better than it usually does after rituals...is this a trend I certainly hope so.

Hussah to the cleanup crew and it did look good this morning.  We finished up the backyard and cleaned up after RoC.  We were tired and were out of there by 2PM.  Hussah to Kat, Courtney, Danielle, Jeff, Will and Caryn for finishing up and leaving it ship shape.

Actually, I didn't do a lot outside, other than take down the pine roping.  Mostly, I caleaned up inside so Caryn and Will wouldn't have to worry about that when they came in.

Don't forget Rebecca, she was out there diggin up the sage and the rosemary along the front walk.

-And Anna, I moved all the bulbs you planted between the bushes out front to various places around the yard.  They were already poking their heads out of the ground and I was afraid to just throw them in a pot under the porch.  We are going to have lots of spring flowers in the sanctuary this year.

Huzzah to Caryn and Will for their very generous hospitality to Renee and myself during WABA-PLC.  Caryn, as always, went beyond her duties in the hospitality department, and I'm still trying to figure out a way to repay her kindness :)

I hope I can repay the gratitude some day :)

And naturally, huzzah to everyone who represented CLG at WABA-PLC this year.  Despite it being very Wiccan centric, I think we got some Druidification in there somewhere.

REPRESENT.

Thank You to Crystal and Renee, you are most welcome.  I am finding that I really LIKE having folks in my home that appreciate hospitality.  It soooo much different from having teenagers around all the time.  :o :o :o

I'm looking forward to doing it more often.

Husah to Crystal, Renee, and Kat for helping to represent us at the leadership conference.  Kay and I seem to have a much higher tolerance for this kind of stuff so Hussah to Crystal and Renee for hanging in there even though they were bored to tears at points.  Hussah to Kat for volunteering do do even more?????  :o

I just hope that if you find you've bitten off too much that these cats don't all come crashing down around you.

Caryn

Title: A bucket of dirt a fistful of love - - all in a days work
Post by: Darkfire on March 02, 2008, 12:05:25 AM
Huzzah to Will and Caryn, yet again, for  fixing the devastated front yard.

When we got there  a wide trench was where the sage used to be.
Unreal.  Den and I did what we could Den did more than I, fixing the rat mess by the trash pad and  compacting some soil near it. Will and Caryn moved stones, earth, plants and damn near the wind to get things back to where they ought be. Plants were moved and even some new bulbs went in. While Caryn and I tended the sage Den and  Will ferried clay and irises to a  new home. To look at it, maybe it took and hr but to be there it took all damn day and we have so much more to do.

And after all was said and done we sat by the fire and drummed some fine beats and drank some fine mead and ale. A good time was had by all.  Good food, good friends and a days worth of work. Our Patron would be proud@!

Even more than that Will gave a word to me, a feeling, a caress -- to the meaning of that which we all call home. Maybe, just maybe we'll see a workshop on Earth, our Lover.

So Huzzah to the garden gnomes and earth lovers you are not forgotten!!

HUZZAH to Crystal, Danelle and Court who did dishes including mine. Thank you Crystal again for cleaning up massively. CLG looks tons better than it used to after high rites. I had less to clean up outside this time. Looks like people are starting to figure out where the trash and recycling cans are after all.  ;D

If you grab it and are coming to Ecumenicon, can you bring it with you?

And a big thank you to Crystal and Caryn for making me feel so at home at Trillium,  introducing me around,  walking me back to the tent in the wee hours of morning, when trees were dancing far too much,  for helping with tent raisings, and drum retrievals,  for sharing Hippocratic Wine, and good stories of hedonistic times, and curious rumors of erotic, plastic animal videos,  or put more succinctly....   for a very good weekend.   My only regret is that I didn't get to meet the Martian with the strange juju who kidnapped Anna. Maybe next year.

I'd like to give a hats off to Kat for soloing the organization of the Baltimore Pagan Pride Day this year, which I very much enjoyed, even though credit was listed as someone else.

I'd also like to give a hats off to Chelsea for soloing the organization of a canned food drive during PPD.  The totals of which I will post later when I receive them.

We were VERY well represented at the PPD this year in my opinion.  I was very proud to see Kat, Chelsea, and Danielle for running their own booths and items.  Danielle even held her own raffle of two cross-stiches she did of the Morrigan and Brigid to support the Towsan Pagan Alliance (I'm probably getting the name wrong here)

Last but not least, thanks go out to Crystal, Caryn, Jack, and Shanna for representing the CLG booth during PPD and pimpin our blingin pens.

Their website was interesting but there was not much on the research he talked about. I still did not find the link for hearing the chant. I made a copy of the brochure for my coworker, she said it reminded her of things that they no longer do in India. She is also interested in hearing the chant.

I wanted to throw out a huzzah to Chelsea and Caryn for organizing the organic decorations workshop this past Sunday.  Though we found out how annoying popcorn really is to string up, it was a lot of fun :)

Huzzah to Chelsea for not only organizing, but being the main proprietor of the Adopt A Family charity.  Huzzah also to Caryn, Crystal, Kat and the stranger who gave money to buy gifts, for their donations as well. (If I forgot someone, I apologize).

I'm somewhat disappointed in the lack of Grove involvement in this project, but I know the economy is tough right now.  Lets not forget the less fortunate.

The bake sale made between $50-$60.  Huzzah to all the people who made WONDERFUL dishes.  I'm sorry the fundraiser did not make -more- money, but it was certainly a fun experiment :D

Jack also gave a very generous donation to Barnes and Noble.
Renee made scarves for the family.

My sister (Cindy Howard) gave the wrapped box of food, a few small gifts and 1/2 of the cost of the winter coats.

Everyone added something in for the food.

Thanks to everyone.  It was definitely a success.

Great Big Huge HUZZAH to Barry
