Hussah to Ashley & friend for bringing a really nice loveseat and 2 chairs that actually MATCH the chairs we have!
Hussah to Mike K for hauling off the old couch and chair!
Hussah to Chelsea for single-handedly taking doen the Yule tree, finding a rubbermaid box to put the tree in AND taking the lights off the tree out front!
Hussah to Danielle for staying late and helping to cleanup!
Hussah to all who helped to welcome the new folks to the grove today!
Wow! What a day! Hussah CedarLight!
-
Huzzah to Caryn for running an awesome brigid cross making workshop today :D
Huzzah to Chelsea and Crystal and whoever else for doing dishes!
And wow, had no idea the couch was going today, awesome! Thanks Mike K!
-
Big Huzzahs today!
The following people helped clean out tons of crap from the basement:
Will, Caryn, Crystal, Jack, Wayne, Danielle, Kat, Shorter Mike
Crystal and Wayne promptly got mini-chemical burns :D
The following people hauled said crap away:
Will, Kat
Danielle also washed dishes TWICE, and vacuumed, holy cow!
We still have a lot more to clean out of the basement. I will be scheduling another clean-out day in March after Imbolc to use our Imbolc cleansing energy.
Huzzah to all :D

So Sorry that I missed Sunday, I was not feeling well at all and did not want to bring the plague to the grove. :P
-
Sorry you didn't make it; it was a fun day. Get well soon!
The junk's at the dump and the Goodwill has been visited. I'll make another run to Warren Road on Monday 2/2 probably, so if anyone has stuff that needs to be trashed, let me know.
-
Sorry you didn't make it; it was a fun day. Get well soon!
thanks so much! I am feeling much better today; just a little sniffly and sneezy. :)
-
Huzzah to all the folks who helped make WWTOO so special on Sunday. We had some lovely poetry and readings, a great discussion and heartfelt offerings.
Danielle, a big huzzah for helping with the vacuuming!
Huzzah to our dishwashers - I didn't catch you, so 'fess up!
And Huzzah to our dear P.O.P.E. Will for sharing his birthday with us!
-
I bring big Hussahs and many thanks relayed to all CedarLight Grove from Diana Paxson author of Taking Up the Runes whose hotel room our sponsorship of Sacred Space paid for. She wanted me to relay a personal thanks to the whole grove.
So Hussah!
-
Yes, hussah to Caryn, Crystal and Jack for representing CLG at Sacred Space this year with fine style :)

I was there too! :)
-
Damn, I even sat next to you too.
Huzzah to Chelsea as well! Sorry, I blame sickness :)

So Hussah!
That workshop was great but the oracular one was incredible. Joe Marek was there as well being guardian for the space. Joe is the Godhi for Gladsheim.
Just an FYI ... Gladsheim's next blot (Freyja Blot) will NOT be this weekend. It has been moved to the following weekend, Feb 20. All are welcome to attend at the HOF in columbia. I plan on going. :)
-
Huzzah to all of the members of CLG that attended Trillium this year. I believe we were the largest Grove there this year with at total of 6 members (Caryn, Crystal, CB, Tracey, Jeff, and Jack).
Huzzah to Tracey for patching up Jack's leg wound after he got into a fight with a pipe in the ground with some concrete.
Huzzah to all who attended for representing CLG well and for creating the CLG camp that felt like home with my tribe.
We also sold 20 more tickets for the raffle at Trillium :D I know we'll be selling at least 9 more who have said they want tickets.
-
Oh and huzzah to Tracey for bringing forth the powers of the druid by bending trees to her will and conjuring the dead from the forests so they might supplement us mere mortals with heat. (i.e. she gathered a shitload of firewood)
-
Huzzah to John for getting the grass mowed yesterday before the rains moved in again, despite mower difficulties.
Huzzah to Will for being the driving force behind our discussion on the dedicant program and writing essays for it.
And a thank you to all who helped clean up and close up yesterday. Kudos to all who lent a hand!
-
Also Huzzah to Crystal for pretty much being facilitator of the Bardic Circle.
Huzzah to Caryn to helping with the Main Ritual.
Huzzah to CB for helping me with my tent and the reformation of the poles.
Finally huzzah to the gods for giving us such a glorious weekend.
Crystal pretty much said it when she called it the perfect weekend.
Jack in the Green
p.s. I am hoping Cedar Light will do the main ritual next year. That would be too cool.
-
Huzzah to Chelsea for running the rite yesterday :D
Huzzah to Caryn, Will, Crystal, and Wayne for helping out and cleaning up afterwards :D
Now if only I didn't go brain dead when asked to sing the Grove chant :/
-
Crystal,
And wait until you turn forty!!!!
I apologize for not making it. I am in the midst of the car search.
I will probably not be at Beltaine either. I'll probably be at Four Quarters.
(I gotta get my drum back).
But I will be back eventually.
Jack in the Green

and thanks to Will for putting a twist on the maypole dance. It was a lot of fun! :)
-
Dag, I missed Will dancing around a Maypole?
That's what I get for being MIA.

Hussah last Sunday to
Roni G and Jim G for donating a HUGE above ground composter for the grove. Its the kind you can crank to tumble the contents.
To Will for going and getting it by himself.
To Will, Taryn and Ashely for getting it out of the truck, across the backyard and set up
To Jim G, caryn, Will and John for mowing
To Will for planting tomatos
To Kat and Danielle for a heck of a birthday spread and chocolate cake
To all who helped cleanup
Hussah!
-
Oh yeah, and hussah to Will for getting the rain barrel that Jack donated set up. ;D
-
Huzza to Chelsea, Liz, Rebecca, CB & Tracey, and whomever helped with the Grove yardsale this weekend. I hear you all did an AMAZING job, and I am very much impressed with the effort that went into this project. I am very much sad that I was not able to donate items because I forgot, and I'm very proud of my grove mates for pulling through and making this happen. You guys should be very proud.
-
Hussah to Crystal for spearheading the project to get a new tiller for the folks at Wounded Knee through the raffle of the quilt. A $500 gift card was received by them yesterday.
And Hussah to Kat for making up the raffle tickets. And Hussah to all those who have 'hawked' the quilt everywhere we have gone.
Hussah!
-
Huzzah to Caryn who was forced to mow the lawn today by the contractor, and for all of her unmatched labors during this ordeal.
My hope is that more members will step forth (including myself) and help rather than Caryn doing everything. I know she's enjoying her retirement, but she should let some of us employed folks help too :)
-
LOL well thank you but he didn't force me, he needed it done and wanted to do it "for" me and I argued with him and got both him and John to start the mower for me. Then I tried to start it myself and ended up making a blood sacrifice all over the handle. ...Well it worked great after that!
guess there is magic in blood sacrifice?
-
Posting live from CedarLight Grove, huzzahs go to Wayne and Jim for mowing the lawns today (and of course again to Caryn for mowing the front lawn earlier this week).
Huzzah to Will for preparing food.
Huzzah to Liz and Chelsea for running the yard sales earlier this month and raising $105 for CedarLight Grove!
More huzzah's to come!
-
Huzzah to Caryn and Will for all the hard work they have put into the Grove this week. Y'all rock!! Will, have a safe trip to California and back.
Huzzah to Renee and Gavin for a great ritual planning session.
Huzzah to Jeff for scripting a piece for our upcoming ritual. (MOO!)
Huzzah to Renee, Gavin, Jeff, Ashley, Taryn and Rebecca and all who helped clean up the Grove space today before we closed.
Thanks to you all and have a great week!
-
Huzzah to John for starting work to repair the holes in the center for inspection.
Huzzah to Elizabeth and Dan for trekking me down to Home Depot to pick up a new piece of sheetrock, and to Dan again for carrying it into the Grove even though he wasn't really there to be helping :D
Huzzah to Caryn for her workshop, which I couldn't attend unfortunately since I was running around Home Depot.
Oh and huzzah to Elizabeth for whipping out her military ID to get me a discount on the sheetrock :D
-
Huge huzzah to CB & Tracey for finishing the ceilings in the main room and the kitchen!!!
Huzzah to Jim for mowing the lawn; it looked great.
To all the people who worked on the Lughnasa ritual, helped clean up food and dishes and kept everyone sane, huzzah!!
-
And Hussah to Loki for helping CB and Tracy even after having next to no sleep.
Hussah to Kat for closing up and making sure everything is cleaned up and locked down...also with no sleep.
Hussah to Kat for painting the railings on the steps they look great.
Hussah to John for putting sheetrock up in the dining room and spackling that down.
Hussah to Crystal for doing a LOT of research online about legalities and getting an ING saving account. (I've done this...its a pain)
WooHoo!
-
Shout outs to Chrissy who has passed her NCLEX-RN and is now officially a registered nurse!
HUZZAH AND CONGRATS!!!!
-
WooHoo! Chrissy! You go girl!
-
Woot! Yea Chrissy!!! What a nice B-day present!
-
*blush* Thanks guys! Life just keeps giving me all sorts of great gifts.
But don't anyone think this means you can ask me to look at that boil on your a$$, k? ;D
-
Does this mean we can play doctor?
Congratulations Chrissy. You will be a great nurse.

Jack, I knew you'd have something like that to say. ;) I can play mean nurse or nice nurse...who knows?
-
Hussah to Wayne for a most excellent workshop on insight meditation today!
That's a keeper!
WooHOO!
-
Sorry I missed it! Hope you all had a wonderful day over there.
-
I apologize for missing that workshop, Wayne. Meditation is one that really interests me. Sometimes I'm like an attention deficit little kid. I get side tracked very easily. Where is the Ridalin when I need it!!
Jack in the Green
-
A lot of folks pitched in and helped around the Grove today, hopefully I can remember them all :D
Steve for fixing up that section of drywall in the passageway in fine style (a lot better than I would have done).
Caryn for raisin the roof! er...for sanding and painting the ceiling in Apt B (at least that's what I assume you did)
Taryn, Wayne and Ashley for painting the drywalled portions of the Grove space
Will for mowing the lawn
Ashley for taking care of our feathered friends outside
Rhoda(?) for doing lots of dishes
hrmm, I miss anyone?
-
Huzzah's go to Will for stepping up and resolving our minor plumbing issue in just a few minutes!
-
Huzzah to Ashley, Taryn, Kelly, Jeff, and Will for cutting up wood yesterday :)
Huzzah to me for completely DEVOURING MY MUSTANG WITH STRAW from the strawbales I brought down (and huzzah to Z for helping me carry them).
Huzzah to Kelly for washing lots and lots of dishes.
Huzzah to Z for his work on painting our lovely Pan.
-
Huzzah to Ashley for stepping up and making me the flier for our upcoming guests later this month :)
And huzzah to Ashley and Taryn for footing around Baltimore passing some out :)
-
Huzzah to Debbie for cleaning up the kitchen, to Jeff and Jackie for helping haul straw out of my car, to Jeff and Wayne for then loading boxes into my car, and to everyone else who helped clean up yesterday :)
Oh and to Will and Caryn for closing up the Grove space.
-
While not a grove thing.... Thank you Caryn and Mike for helping me de-flea my home!
-
Huzzah to Ashley, Taryn, and Kelly for a wonderful Samhain Rite and BEAUTIFUL decorations around the Grove today. It felt so festive!
Huzzah to Caryn, Dominick and Will for helping to clean up, though I do not know who all pitched in so I apologize if I didn't mention you. I know a lot of folks were running around. What a huge amount of people. I had 29 recorded that stayed the entire length of the Rite, and I can think of at least 6 more that either went inside or had to leave early.
The auction alone raised us $297 for the Grove and our charity event. Big Huzzahs to Ashley for her amazing artwork she auctioned off. I can see that and Caryn's capes being huge items to sell in the future.
I know we got at least $150 more probably in the cauldron not counting just regular donations. Caryn can probably give better totals.
Happy New Year!

I just sent in my payment for my auction items through Paypal. I never saw a place on the paypal form to leave a comment about what the payment was for so, wanted to post it here. :)
Debbie and I were up to our elbows in dirty dishes for a bit as well. ;)
-
I won't make it today (I think I threw out my back late last night, owie). I'll bring my $20 next week or on Saturday when we do wreaths.
And huzzah to evryone for a great evening! i was sorry I had to leave. the Rite rocked and the evening had a very family feel to it.
-
The artwork and the capes, most definitely and Wayne's wife's woodworking artistry, too.
I'm definitely interested in all three.
-
I'd like to add a Huzzah to Crystal for the wonderful drumming that accompanied most of the ritual!
-
Huzzah to Will, Caryn, Phoenix, Chelsea, Wayne, and myself for attending Chelsea's lovely Einherjar rite. It was very lovely :D
-
I wish I could have been there but my reason for not attending is this little person laying in my bed like a Princess.
-

Thanks so much, could not have done it without you all. I really felt the presence of the fallen and the gods. It was very moving for me and proud that we had the opportunity to remember those brave individuals.
-
Huzzah to Chelsea, Caryn and myself for working on our Festival of Trees wreaths yesterday! There was some lovely work done on this chairtyproject.

-
Huzzah to Wayne for his awesome trilogy of bardic contributions in this quarters Oak Leaves! I just read it and they are wonderful. Way to make CedarLight proud :D
Also CedarLight got a lot of positive endorsements in the Trillium article, I may transcribe them later.
-
Lots of Huzzah's today :)
Huzzah to Barry and Debbie for tackling the first (and biggest) round of dishes. Huzzah to Debbie, Crystal, and Jess for tackling the remaining dishes.
Huzzah to everyone who helped put food away like Ashley and Taryn, to Chelsea and Jim for bringing yummies, to Jim for cooking his lasagna and to Jess for cooking. To Debbie for sweeping up, and whoever else I might have forgotten :)
We definitely need more people like the ones above who actually participate and don't just come to eat food and leave shortly afterwards without bringing any of their own or helping out afterwards.

Doh!
-
We have to stay a team, do our share, help out AND look out for each other...or we will fall apart.
That said, we don't always know why people have to leave early. It could have been that they made an extra effort on a busy day to make it to the grove but had to rush.
Just sayin.
-
I wasn't talking about anyone from this past Sunday :) This has been an ongoing (read as in since I started coming to the Grove years ago) problem, and sometimes it just needs to be called out.
And this is only in regards to repeat offenders. Not people that had to leave on a certain Sunday due to some event they were attending.
-
Huzzah to Ashley for presenting a seriously entertaining workshop on Brehon's Law today!
Huzzah to Kelly and I think Cecelia for helping with dishes. And I know Will and Caryn helped clean up a lot.
And if Matt hops on the forum, welcome our new visitor Matt to CedarLight :) I hope I can get his email to send him a welcome letter :)
-
Huzzah for Ceceilia for doing dishes yesterday, and to the new girls for vacuuming :D
-
I'd like to pipe in a big HUZZAH for Crystal who made the trip down to the Grove this past Sunday despite icy and dangerous roads up north, and being in alot of pain AND having a cold.
HUZZAH!

Ps, Crystal, could you call Jeff (is that right) about letting me in this Friday around 1pm?
Thanks.

Thanks.
It is John. :) Jeff is the tall guy with long hair.
-
;D Well, I got the first letter right. That's big for me, lol
-
A big huzzah to all of our members that took the time to continue their commitments for Yule by doing solitary ADF rites today. I know SEVERAL went through with it and I am very proud.
I'd also like to announce that both Caryn and I have been nominated for positions in the upcoming ADF elections. I don't know whether we'll be accepting, I'm still deciding on mine. But huzzah for CedarLight being represented in ADF, even if just by a nomination :)
You can see a list of the upcoming nominations here (you may need an ADF login for ADF members to view)

Hussah to Taryn for her workshop last Sunday, it was awesome!
