There is also Ostra or Ostara the germanic goddess of spring.  I can bring the book and talk about her a bit on Sunday.

A little information on what to prepare for:

Feb 12  review of the omen and the lore of the upcoming season of change

Feb 26 is a New Moon and a Blessing of the Seeds - for swapping and to begin indoors
instead of the normal blessing rite, we are going to honor Frouwa (Freya) as the cloud goddess of Germanic sowing of the seeds (more on that to come)

March 25 Ostara - Blessing of the Gardening Equipment (Plow), since most of us do not actually use a plow... shovels, hoes
in the Germanic it is Wuotan (Odin) the wind god and Donar (Thor) thunder god

[ this is a little more Germanic or Old German and less Anglo-Saxon ]

Hi all,

So tomorrow is our final Yule planning discussion. Details so far are in the planning thread for reference. We'll also be decking some halls so feel free to bring your festive cheer and decorations!

Caryn and I will both be unable to be at the Grove next weekend, and I won't be down on the 11th due to a Kindred function. I will be down early for Yule to help prepare and do a run-through of the ritual, though. If you are taking a part, please plan to be there no later than 2pm to help setup and work through the rite.

Also, YULE DECORATING.
