It shouldn't all fall on one person, you are absolutely right. I know that there are several people who help out as much as they can and a whole bunch who don't do anything at all.
That said, family and job and travel can all play into hinderance of helping. I live about the same distance as Caryn, but although my husband doesn't give me grief about going up on an occassional Sunday or to a high rite once a month, he'd give me grief if I was up there more often than that on a consistant basis. I also have my grand daughter to take care of every other weekend usually, and my dog is elderly with Cushings Disease and severe hip displasia, so I like to give him more of my free time also. Then there is my DP work and reading which I try to do without falling asleep because I am always tired now that I am on medication, and if I sit down, its SO tempting to fall asleep.
These aren't excuses. I'm just letting people know why I am not doing more like I would like to do, but I will try to do more.
