I think the week of the 14-19 is Free Spirit. Are people from the Grove planning to go? I think I will try to make it on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

End of elist message.

I have a zillion things to do this weekend, but if the weather is beautiful or even
just good, I may consider going, working, drumming, drinking, sleeping, and then
working some more.  At least it is a plan. We'll see what the weather holds.
Is anyone else from the Grove going? Hmmmmm?

I just realized that if I go to both Drumming to the Moon at Highlands, and Free Spirit, I am pretty talented, because I'll be two places at once.  I guess I'll have to make a choice. One or the other. It may all depend on money.  Money does make the world go round.

I just got this: Issac Bonewits in Baltimore
Tranquil Reflections proudly presents Isaac Bonewits, the “Arch
Druid” of North America Saturday June 25 at the Days Inn Hotel
Timonium (Baltimore, MD).

Come join us for a day of fun, learning and celebration of
Pagan Pride in America!

This was just posted on Live Journal.
Unfortunately it is the same day we are celebrating Midsummer.
I wish I could learn how to be two places at one time.

Event details and advance ticket purchases may be found at www.
tranquilreflections.com. We hope that members of your group
will join us!

Isaac will also be performing weddings on Saturday June 25th
from approximately 2:30pm – 7:30pm and on Sunday from
approximately 2:00pm – 7:00pm.

As a credentialed priest of Ár nDraíocht Féin: A Druid
Fellowship, Isaac can perform legal weddings in most states. He
is also willing to perform (non-legal) year-and-a-day
handfastings, as well as to push the envelope by marrying
polyamorous groups (provided all legal expenses are covered).
Ceremonies can be done in Wiccan, Druidic, or other Neopagan
styles.

Show you're proud to be Pagan!

Bright Blessings,
Ilasha

Will & I went up to Highlanf Farm last weekend and stayed till about midnight.  The party never manifested but we did do some drumming by the fire.

I dodn't know if we wil get up this weekend, there's so much to do and Duncan (son #2) is flying to Oregon at 7AM on Sunday so that's goinf to be an early day.

On the Isaac thing, I spoke with the lady who is putting on the conference and explained that this area already has 4 yearly conferences and a couple of festivals.  No one had even heard of this conference, its the weekend after FSG so no one is going to have any money, and the line up other than Isaac didn't do anything to light my jets.  She wants to charge $20 a person if we just come to listen to Isaac speak and do a ritual with him.  She told me that was just covering the costs of the food.

She called me back the next day and said she had been thinking over what I had said.  She is thinking about rescheduling the conference to mid-Oct.  I also spent some time talking to her about the conferences already in this area and if she wanted to something, other than what was already being done, she would have to bring in folks to present topics that we can't get at the other conferences.  Such as a professor in celtic mythology to present a 2 hour talk on celtic myth, a history professor to talk about the history of the celts especially as it pertains to celtic myth, a class on gaelic pronunciation with help on key phrases, get Isaac to give his workshop on large ritual production, etc, etc, etc.

So I don't know if the conference of the 25-26 is still on.  If it is, I am going to try to get up there but if we have actually slept at the grove, I don't imagine that any of us will be overly presentable.

 :)
