We need to do a clean up in September. I suggest that we clean up on Sunday, September 26th. We have to do it early (like 6am) and we can stay the night at the grove if we want. That day is already scheduled to have just a short RoC.

We have vests for 10 people. I'd like to have at least 5 definite volunteers.

I'm not sure that I could make it up there before 9 or 10 after a late night at the grove.  Its a 1/2 hour home and then a nother 1/2 hour back up after onlya few hours of sleep.

What if we did it early on Sat morning like 9 or 10 (or later), came back to the Grove (showered) and then set up for the Mabon high rite?

As painful as six a.m. is...you can put my name down. Especially,
if I can crash at the Grove. I have a sleeping bag in my car.

or what if we do it this saturday or sunday in the afternoon.

i've seen other groups in the afternoon, and frankly, i don't think many of our members are going to be up to this whole early as hell thing.

just a thought.

I'd prefer not to be up at the butt crack of dawn, honestly.  And I think doing this on a weekend of a high rite AND a witan meeting might be a little harsh.

okay, looks like the 17th is as good a day as any. how does 9am sound?

now, if it's raining, we'll have to reschedule.

please wear sturdy shoes (preferably work boots or something similar) and bring a pair of gloves so you can pick up the trash safely and with as little ickiness as possible.

if you haven't signed a form yet, you can sign it sunday morning before we start and i'll mail it in the next day.

What's the location for this? The cable guy is coming that afternoon, so I could come for a few hours if it's not too far from the Grove.

Things have come up and I won't be there tomorrow. Everything you need (the safety video, the safety paperwork, the safety equipment, the orange signs, the trash bags) is in the closet in the front room. The two large orange signs need to be hung over our street signs. one's at the suntrust and one is at the church on the corner of putty hill.

i'm sure yall can handle this.

Okay tomorrow (Sunday) at (gulp) 9:00 a.m. I'll be at the Grove.
Since Sati isn't going to be there, will there be someone who knows
where we are going.
The sight of 15 lost Druids waundering the roads looking for trash
to pick up is a bit humorous, but I still would rather not get lost
in the first place.

:) Well if Sati isn't going to be there, I don't know for sure Jack but it may be just you and I.  Speaking from past experiences in these things.

How about this?  We meet there at 10, we find the video "AND" the TV & VCR which I am not completely certain where they are right now.

We do ROC, the vote thing, and see who we can 'coerice' into going and helping us...but it still may be you and I and I want to plant some of the mums from the handfasting before they dry out too much.

I mean it sounds like you, Sati & Crystal are the only onles talking here.
My 2 cents

Caryn

BTW..there is NO coffee at the Grove.

Sounds good Caryn,

I wasn't wild about having to get up an hour earlier.
So I will be at the Grove at my normal time and we can see if we can get more folks to help after Walk with the Old Ones, and of course the vote.
See ya tomorrow.

StateHighway sent a letter inviting volunteers to a get together after "Make a Difference DAy" which is scheduled for October 23, 2004. We should use this day for the clean up that was not done today.

October 22, 2004 the golden ring Shop is hosting an appreciation event between 10am and 1pm.  If anyone wants to attend the gathering please let Sati know by Friday October 21, 2004.  Her e-mail is : satikat@cedarlightgrove.org
