Bardic Workshop Sunday, Jan 13th

Our parent organization, ADF, has a bardic guild and bardic requirements in many of it’s study programs. Next Sunday, Jan 13th @ 1PM our own Senior Druid will lead a workshop/guided discussion on the requirements of the beginning bardic courses. Here is his description:

Most scholars agree that the the bardic tradition, especially the art of poetry, was at the heart of the Indo-European, pagan religious experience. This interactive workshop will cover the ADF courses General Bardic Studies I and General Bardic Studies for Liturgists with an eye to providing participants a start on completing either of these courses. We will discuss the exit questions and standards, potential course resources, and then proceed into a longer discussion of poetry. There will be time at the end of the workshop for participants to make a start on writing a poem for the study program. Please bring the exit standards of the course you are working on for reference. NOTE: You do not have to be working on either of these courses to attend this workshop. Please RSVP.

RSVP to Wayne@cedarlightgrove.org if you are not a member and on the grove forum if you are. As always, we ask for a donation of $10 for non-members and $5 for members. This may run about 3 hours.
